Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Russell Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stanko Velilkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacobs's entrance music is WhiteRabbit-Percussion Gun. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Jacobs misses
and Velilkov makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Jacobs stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jacobs wants it to stay on the feet.

Velilkov looks to throw the jab but Jacobs is out of range.

Velilkov darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

and Velilkov counters with a stiff right hand.

Jacobs has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Velilkov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jacobs lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Velilkov!

Jacobs throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Velilkov escapes and throws Jacobs's legs to the side, diving into side control!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee asks Velilkov politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Velilkov prefers to stall for the moment though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jacobs is looking to regain half guard here but Velilkov keeps moving and retains side control.
Jacobs manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Velilkov misses with a wild body shot.
Velilkov fails with a takedown attempt.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Velilkov crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Jacobs - the referee stops the clock and Velilkov gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Jacobs. Velilkov manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Velilkov moves forwards but Jacobs connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Jacobs thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Velilkov's head.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Velilkov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jacobs.

enabling Jacobs to counter with a crisp jab.

and Velilkov counters with a left and a right that stings Jacobs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Velilkov's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Velilkov is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell?
Jacobs pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jacobs connects with a bit shot that sees Velilkov covering up! More strikes from Jacobs and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Jacobs is our winner by TKO!
