Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tank Abrahms (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Flare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flare comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Also Sprach Zarathustra kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tank Abrahms! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rick Flare! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Skip Squint and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abrahms tries to clinch and Flare counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Flare is controlling the pace.
Flare missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Flare stops Abrahms from getting back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Abrahms is refusing to be controlled, as Flare sits in half guard. Flare is working for a submission of some sort.
Flare not landing any meaningful shots this time. Abrahms pushes Flare off looking to stand but Flare dives back in and keeps control.

Flare has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Flare is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Flare wants to work for an arm triangle but Abrahms is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Flare passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Abrahms! Flare punching from mount but Abrahms doing a good job of avoiding damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rick Flare dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Abrahms tries to clinch so Flare counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Flare stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Abrahms swivels though and keeps the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Flare drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Abrahms dives on top into guard. Flare looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Abrahms wanted to stand there but Flare had control of the position. Flare trying to keep a closed guard but Abrahms is proving a slippery customer.
Flare tries to land a sweep but no joy. Flare manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's one minute gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Flare cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Flare landing strikes from the mount. You get the feeling that Abrahms really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Flare with good strikes from the mount here! Flare with the ground and pound from mount. Flare controlling from mount. Flare lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Abrahms hang on? Rick Flare has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Abrahms is trying to stand up. Flare with shots to the head and body - Abrahms looks very uncomfortable down there. Abrahms's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Flare throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Flare lands a nice shot to the head. The referee warns Abrahms that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Abrahms is rocked! Flare looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Abrahms covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
