Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bono Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Monster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bono Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, The Monster! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Monster with a poor takedown and Jones counters with a lovely straight right hand! Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Monster with a poor takedown and Jones counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jones. Jones throws a big right hand that misses. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Monster keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. Jones trying to stand up but can't free himself from Monster's guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Monster is on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jones has Monster pulled in close to control his posture. Monster trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Jones trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Monster is stalling in the full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Monster shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jones counters with a thumping low kick. Bono Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of The Monster. Monster has his takedown stuffed and Jones counters with a nice double leg into guard. Monster looks gassed! Jones wants to control from the top but Monster keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jones's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Jones is in close to Monster's body, working some short punches and elbows. Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Monster is retaining full guard. Jones slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Jones wants to pass the guard but Monster is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Monster trying to keep a closed guard but Jones is proving a slippery customer.
Jones stands up from guard. Let's bang! Jones scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones decides to stand and escape the position. Monster misses with a takedown and Jones counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Jones decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Jones instigates a clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Monster gets tackled into the cage by Jones. Jones maintains the clinch. Jones gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bono Jones dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Jones closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Monster did well to prevent Jones getting side control. Jones not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Jones content to control rather than advance. Monster blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jones. Jones controlling the action here. Monster is breathing heavily. Jones throwing shots but Monster is blocking nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Bono Jones has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Monster misses with a takedown and Jones counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jones. Jones wants to stand but Monster is controlling his posture from full guard. Jones pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Monster is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jones gets to his feet. Monster looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Jones clinches with his opponent.

Jones shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Jones wants to stand but Monster has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones wants to control but Monster is keeping him busy. Jones throwing shots but Monster is blocking nicely. Jones slows the pace down in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Bono Jones wasn't doing enough on the ground. Jones gets in close and instigates a clinch. Jones gets a trip takedown into half guard. Jones sitting and controlling from the half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Monster shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jones counters with a nice double leg into guard. Jones is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Jones trying to stand up but can't free himself from Monster's guard. Monster takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Monster keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Bono Jones just wasn't active enough. Monster shoots and misses and Jones counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Jones has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Monster is trying to keep an underhook but Jones manages to get the takedown into half guard. Jones thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Jones is thwarting Monster's attempts to control the position. Jones lands strikes from half guard. Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Monster does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jones keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bono Jones. Jones shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Monster is trying to defend but Jones finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Jones is trying to control the action in half guard but Monster is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Jones thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Monster's head. Jones seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Bono Jones just wasn't active enough. Jones clinches. Jones just leaning against Monster, taking a breather. Jones gets a trip takedown into half guard. Jones tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Monster keeps working. Jones trying to pass the guard but Monster defending well. Jones seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. The Monster has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bono Jones is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Jones is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Monster can do to turn this around?
