Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Marston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Chris Carwin has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Chris Carwin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, John Marston! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Anthony Taglia and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marston is looking to clinch but Carwin is avoiding it.
Marston uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Carwin. John Marston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Marston shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Carwin as he jumps to the side. Marston takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Marston shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Carwin as he jumps to the side. Marston is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Carwin has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Marston. Marston throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Carwin has managed to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marston lands with a light punch inside. Marston is trying to drag Carwin to the mat but Carwin just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Chris Carwin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Marston. Marston breaks from the clinch.
Marston tries for a takedown but Carwin circles away easily and Carwin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A head kick misses from Marston. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Carwin, as that shot connected.
Carwin throws a combination. Marston tries to block but a couple of punches get through. The fight stays on the outside here - Marston looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Carwin lands a glancing blow to the side of Marston's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Carwin connects with a right hand. Marston shakes it off. Marston is looking to clinch. Carwin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Marston throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Carwin counter with a right hand. Marston misses with a body punch
and Carwin counters with a straight right hand. Marston tries to clinch but Carwin moves out of range. Chris Carwin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Carwin works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Good exchange - Marston coming out on top.
It looks like Chris Carwin has been cut. The fighters circling - Carwin throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carwin has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Carwin there as he acknowledges the shot. Carwin moves into the clinch successfully.
Carwin lands a hook to the side of the head. Both guys are working to get underhooks. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Carwin. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Carwin. Marston tries to land a knee to the head but Carwin blocks with his arms.
Marston is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Carwin doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Marston makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Marston has a couple of punches blocked by Carwin.
Marston drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Carwin gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Carwin throws a punch but it's blocked by Marston. Marston blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Carwin doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Marston blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Marston throws a knee to the head but misses.
Carwin prevents the takedown attempt.

Marston goes for a takedown attempt but Carwin pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Marston is trying desperately to land a takedown but Carwin is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Marston. Marston looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carwin fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Carwin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Marston works over Carwin's head and body with a nice combination. Marston misses with a series of wild punches.
Carwin is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Carwin keeps the fight on the outside. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Marston falls off balance throwing a combination
and Carwin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Carwin dominated that round. The cut man is working on Chris Carwin's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Marston is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Carwin lands with a nice body punch. Marston rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Carwin moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Carwin throws a right hand that Marston ducks under and follows up with a left that Marston also avoids with ease. Marston ducks under a wild hook from Carwin. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carwin takes a swing at Marston's ribcage but misses. Carwin walks into a left hand. Carwin throws a series of strikes that have Marston backpedaling.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marston gets a takedown into half guard. Marston missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Marston has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Carwin is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Marston scores with a couple of nice shots. Marston wants to free his trapped foot but Carwin is holding on for dear life with his legs. Carwin is looking for a sweep. Marston is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Carwin is refusing to be controlled, as Marston sits in half guard. Carwin avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Marston. Carwin looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marston seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Carwin is looking to improve his position.
Marston wants to free his trapped foot but Carwin is holding on for dear life with his legs. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Marston is just content to waste time from the top position. Carwin takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Carwin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marston on the ground. Marston forces his way into half guard. Marston is keen to just control but Carwin is a slippery customer. Marston not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marston is trying to control. Carwin wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Marston sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Carwin defending well though. Marston wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carwin keeps working. Carwin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Carwin tries to get out of the position. Marston tries to pass to full mount but Carwin defends it. Marston not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Carwin pushes Marston off looking to stand but Marston dives back in and keeps control.
Carwin is staying active underneath Marston, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
John Marston has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Carwin wants to clinch. Marston falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Carwin to counter with a crisp jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Carwin takes a jab right on the kisser.
Marston misses with a takedown attempt - Carwin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Carwin misses with an uppercut
and Marston counters with an inside leg kick. John Marston is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Marston throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Marston tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Carwin paws at him with a jab and circles away. Marston doesn't manage to clinch there - Carwin circles away.
Marston throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Marston showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Chris Carwin's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Chris Carwin's cut is getting worse. Marston throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carwin's waist but Carwin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Marston off to one side. Marston displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Carwin throws out the jab. A bone on bone clash there as Carwin blocks the leg kick.
Carwin tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Marston cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carwin pushes Marston up against the cage in a clinch. Marston lands with a short shot to the head. Marston breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A swing and a miss from Carwin. Carwin misses with a shot to the body and Marston counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Marston. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Carwin keeping moving, preventing Marston from controlling successfully. Marston makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Marston trying to control but Carwin is working from the bottom. Marston pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Carwin is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carwin is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Marston dives into side control.
Marston wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Carwin, who protects the arm well. Marston controlling the position from side mount. Marston working the head with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marston wants to control but Carwin is keeping him busy. Carwin defending against the ground and pound. Marston has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Carwin! Marston unloading with bombs! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Marston looking to control but Carwin is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Marston with the ground and pound from mount.
Jeez, Chris Carwin's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Chris Carwin's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
