Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimi Patrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kostas Bleidelis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patrick comes to the cage accompanied by Dropkick Murphys - I'm Shipping Up to Boston. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Jimi Patrick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Kostas Bleidelis! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Patrick wants to clinch and Bleidelis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Patrick falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bleidelis counters with a takedown into side control. Bleidelis just content to control the position. Bleidelis stands up and beckons Patrick to his feet. A combination from Bleidelis does no damage. Bleidelis shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Patrick as he avoids it easily.

Bleidelis pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Bleidelis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Patrick fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Patrick gets a clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bleidelis blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Patrick escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Patrick fails in his attempt to clinch. Patrick takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Bleidelis lands a jab-cross combination. Bleidelis looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Patrick wants to get back to his feet.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Patrick creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Patrick wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Bleidelis is trying to break the clinch but Patrick is controlling him. Patrick is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. That was a close round but I would say that Jimi Patrick will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Patrick rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bleidelis moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Patrick gets caught flat footed, as Bleidelis shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Bleidelis stands up and waves to Patrick to follow him. Patrick fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Bleidelis is out of range. A lazy body kick from Patrick and Bleidelis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. No joy there for Bleidelis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Patrick throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bleidelis scores with a jab. Bleidelis shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bleidelis was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Patrick wants to get back to his feet.
Kostas Bleidelis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jimi Patrick is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! Jimi Patrick showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Patrick, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
