Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Clarence Parish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miyamoto Musashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Musashi has chosen Andrea Bocelli- Time to Say Goodbye as his entrance music. Miyamoto Musashi struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Miyamoto Musashi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Clarence Parish! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Miyamoto Musashi! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Musashi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Parish.
Parish throws a left and a right that both miss
and Musashi counters with a nice double leg into guard. Musashi throws a big right hand that misses. Musashi is looking to work some ground and pound but Parish has wrist control. Musashi is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Parish is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Parish has escaped and now he's on top! Musashi working a defensive guard here.
Parish got a little sloppy there for a moment and Musashi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Parish has managed to get both his arms back between Musashi's legs - danger averted. Parish seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Parish trying to control but Musashi is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parish pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Musashi is keeping the position for now. Musashi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Musashi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Parish's guard. Musashi is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Musashi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Parish manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Musashi has Parish in his guard. Parish stays in close to Musashi's body and controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Musashi throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Musashi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Parish engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Parish trying to control the position from guard on top but Musashi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Clarence Parish wasn't doing enough on the ground. Parish misses with a body shot
and Musashi counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Musashi is trying to control the action in half guard but Parish is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Parish is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parish won't allow Musashi to pass to mount. Musashi seems to be looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Parish is staying active underneath Musashi, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Musashi is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Musashi controlling the action here. Musashi wants to work for an arm triangle but Parish is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Musashi is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Musashi maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Parish could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Musashi has cracked it and Parish is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Musashi!
