Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Earl Bennet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malcolm Stumps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Earl Bennet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Malcolm Stumps! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Kavanagh and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bennet shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Stumps manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Bennet won't allow Stumps to sweep him here. Bennet missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Stumps looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Bennet postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Bennet throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stumps works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Stumps is looking for a triangle but Bennet pushes his legs off easily.
Bennet loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Stumps can't keep his opponent in guard - Bennet advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Bennet lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Bennet throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Nice strikes from Bennet there. Stumps keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Stumps works his way to full guard. Good work. Stumps tries to land a sweep but no joy. Stumps is pulling down on Bennet's head. Bennet lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Stumps is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Stumps not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Stumps thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Stumps trying to mount his opponent but Bennet defends it. Bennet is looking to control Stumps's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bennet avoid being mounted? Stumps throwing shots but Bennet is blocking nicely. Bennet on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bennet tries to get out of the position. Stumps wants to take a breather but Bennet is having none of it.

Stumps bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bennet's guard. Bennet lands with a heel strike from the guard.

Stumps wants to control from the top but Bennet keeps moving. Bennet looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Bennet controls Stumps momentarily but Stumps frees himself. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stumps wants to control from the top but Bennet keeps moving. Bennet tries to score a body lock takedown but Stumps shows good agility there to stay on his feet. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Bennet tries to work over Stumps's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Stumps lands an elbow inside that Bennet shrugs off. Stumps breaks from the clinch.
Stumps avoids a lazy jab quite easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stumps misses with a double jab
and Bennet counters with a nice body shot. Bennet pivots, looking for a leg kick but Stumps is out of range and Bennet settles back down. Stumps tries to clinch up. Stumps misses with a head kick.
Stumps closes the distance and pushes Bennet back into the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bennet lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Bennet's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! With the two fighters working up against the cage, Stumps just misses with a elbow thrown towards Bennet's brow. Stumps looks to throw an elbow but misses. Stumps throws a knee to the head but misses.
Stumps pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Bennet slips a jab from Stumps. Stumps slips under a jab from Bennet. Bennet looks to land a combination but Stumps avoids it well. Stumps tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Malcolm Stumps seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bennet avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Bennet throws a right and a left that Stumps avoids nicely. Bennet throws a big shot that misses. Stumps tries to clinch there but Bennet circles away.
Stumps connects with a body shot. Stumps throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Stumps pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bennet dives in and grabs Stumps's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stumps pushes down on Bennet's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Earl Bennet. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bennet tries to bum rush Stumps with a series of wild strikes but Stumps uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Stumps scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Bennet shoots in but no luck this time. Bennet swings away with a body shot that misses

Malcolm Stumps showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Bennet tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stumps was well out of range. Poor timing from Bennet. Stumps getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Bennet doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Bennet connects with a crisp jab. Stumps misses with a two punch combination.

It looks like Earl Bennet has been cut. Stumps moves out of range of the leg kick from Bennet. Stumps with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

and Bennet counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Stumps! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stumps regains half guard. Stumps is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bennet's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bennet's back! Earl Bennet overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bennet rolls, trying to escape but Stumps keeps control of the position.
Stumps has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Bennet! Can he survive? No! He's out! Stumps gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
