Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Royce Gracie has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Royce Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Freeman! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Freeman tries for a takedown but Gracie circles away easily and Gracie counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Gracie is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Freeman trying to hold on to Gracie's head to control him but Gracie postures up.
Gracie is trying to work for a kimura but Freeman is defending well.
Gracie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Freeman is just riding it out for now. Gracie eventually gives up the hold.
That's one minute gone in the round. Freeman tries to roll over but Gracie keeps him under control. Freeman trying to control from the bottom.
The fighters are battling for position here. Freeman manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Freeman working for a triangle but Gracie defends it easily.
Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Freeman's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Gracie seems to be working for a kimura but Freeman defends the submission attempt. Gracie is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Freeman looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Freeman makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Freeman. Freeman tries to land a sweep but no joy. Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Freeman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Freeman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gracie has managed to get both his arms back between Freeman's legs - danger averted. Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Gracie drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Freeman manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gracie has Freeman in his guard. Freeman trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Freeman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Freeman sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gracie's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie looking for submissions off his back. Gracie is breathing heavily. Gracie looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Freeman is keen to just control but Gracie is a slippery customer. Freeman passes to full mount! Freeman looking to control but Gracie is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Gracie keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Gracie regains half guard. Freeman is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Royce Gracie dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Gracie darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Freeman slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Gracie trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Freeman controlling the position. Freeman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gracie is one step ahead there. Freeman throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Freeman dives on top into guard. Freeman must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Freeman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Freeman trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom. Freeman wants to pass the guard but Gracie is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Gracie throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Freeman passes Gracie's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Gracie works his way to full guard. Good work. Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Freeman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Gracie is tightening it up a little... Freeman has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Freeman reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Freeman taps out! nice BJJ there by Gracie!
