The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Souza shoots in for a takedown but Richmond shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Souza bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Richmond feints a jab promting Souza to slip. Richmond then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Souza slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Richmond lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Souza is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Richmond drops Souza with a naaaaasty hook - Souza is in real trouble here! Richmond dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
