We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
anderson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Mayorga throws a leg kick which misses anderson's front leg but catches the back leg as anderson tries to avoid it.
Mayorga shoots in looking for a takedown. anderson tries to sprawl out of it but Mayorga keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. anderson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Mayorga has eaten all the pies!

Despite being in the dominant position, Carlos Mayorga just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mayorga feints and as anderson raises his hands in defense, Mayorga changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Mayorga decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on anderson, up you get!

Mayorga feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Mayorga slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
