Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Harry Bosch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wandlish Jahkvilk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bosch comes into the arena with Run This Town blaring out of the sound system. Wandlish Jahkvilk has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Harry Bosch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wandlish Jahkvilk!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bosch avoids a punch combination nicely.

Bosch scores with a takedown into Jahkvilk's guard.

Bosch drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jahkvilk dives on top into guard.
Bosch is looking to stand up but Jahkvilk isn't so interested in that idea.
Bosch wants to sweep here but Jahkvilk controlling him for the moment.

Bosch has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Jahkvilk off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Bosch really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bosch shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Jahkvilk is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Jahkvilk keeping full guard, as Bosch tries to pass.
Bosch looking to sit in guard and control but Jahkvilk gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Bosch keeping moving, preventing Jahkvilk from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wandlish Jahkvilk has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Bosch fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jahkvilk sprawls well initially but Bosch persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Jahkvilk is in trouble now - Bosch has advanced to mount!
Jahkvilk tries to hold on but Bosch postures up.

Bosch has hold of Jahkvilk's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jahkvilk manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Bosch jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jahkvilk manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jahkvilk gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Bosch jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Jahkvilk is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Jahkvilk and Bosch has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Bosch looking to control but instead Jahkvilk has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Bosch trying to control from Jahkvilk's half guard. Jahkvilk has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bosch works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Jahkvilk trying to control but Bosch postures up.

Bosch is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jahkvilk doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bosch.
Bosch wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jahkvilk keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harry Bosch dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Jahkvilk throws a right hand that Bosch ducks under and follows up with a left that Bosch also avoids with ease.
Jahkvilk misses with a combination

and Bosch counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jahkvilk!

Bosch looking to secure an arm triangle but Jahkvilk defends it well.

Bosch moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Jahkvilk has worked his arm free - good work by Jahkvilk!
The ground and pound from Bosch seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Bosch is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jahkvilk is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Bosch thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Bosch moves into full mount!
Bosch is trying to take his opponent's back.
Jahkvilk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bosch. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bosch throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Jahkvilk tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Bosch throwing strikes here but Jahkvilk is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Bosch jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jahkvilk manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Jahkvilk can't do much from the bottom here.
Jahkvilk tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bosch wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Bosch wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jahkvilk, who protects the arm well.
Jahkvilk regains half guard, as Bosch was trying to land strikes.
Harry Bosch overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bosch wants to take a breather but Jahkvilk is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jahkvilk avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bosch.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bosch thows a huge punch but Jahkvilk dodges it nicely.

Bosch is trying for a kimura here. Jahkvilk looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Bosch wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Harry Bosch!
