Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ian Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Reyes paws at him with a jab and circles away. Reyes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Reyes looks to land a combination but Johnson avoids it well. Reyes looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Reyes wants to take a breather but Johnson is having none of it. Johnson wants to get back to his feet.
Johnson blocking the ground and pound attempt from Reyes. Johnson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Reyes is working away from the top position though. Johnson regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Reyes. Johnson controlling the position. Reyes won't allow Johnson to get back to his feet. Johnson keeping full guard, as Reyes tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reyes trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Daniel Reyes wasn't active enough on the ground. Reyes closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Johnson's guard. Reyes thows a big elbow that misses. Johnson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Johnson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Johnson looking for a guillotine here but Reyes defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Reyes looking to pass the guard. Reyes pushes down on Johnson's leg and manages to get into half guard. Johnson trying to control from the bottom.
Reyes working the head and body with strikes. Reyes wants to pass the guard but Johnson is defending well. Reyes tries to stand and escape but Johnson is controlling the position. Reyes thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Johnson's head.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Johnson pushes Reyes off and gets back to his feet. Reyes circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson throws a right and a left that Reyes avoids nicely. Reyes connects with a body shot. Reyes swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Johnson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Reyes is looking to control Johnson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Reyes avoid being mounted? Reyes gets full guard. Reyes not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Johnson won't allow Reyes to sweep him here. Reyes controls Johnson momentarily but Johnson frees himself. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Johnson stopping the sweep attempt from Reyes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Daniel Reyes wasn't active enough on the ground. Reyes tries to bum rush Johnson with a series of wild strikes but Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Johnson darts in trying to clinch so Reyes counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Reyes wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving. Johnson keeping full guard, as Reyes tries to pass. Johnson tries to land a sweep but no joy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Reyes dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
A shot to the body from Reyes misses and Johnson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Johnson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Reyes closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Johnson did well to prevent Reyes getting side control. Johnson blocking the ground and pound attempt from Reyes. Reyes trying to control from half guard but Johnson is working away. Johnson wants to control but Reyes is keeping busy and won't allow it. Reyes thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Johnson to regain full guard. Johnson is trying to control the position but Reyes postures up. Reyes looking to pass the guard. Reyes decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Left hook, right uppercut from Reyes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Reyes tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Johnson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Reyes misses with a few strikes there.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown but Reyes shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Reyes misses with an uppercut. Johnson saw that one coming. Reyes takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Johnson goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Reyes throws a sloppy head kick and Johnson moves out of range easily. Johnson tries to clinch but fails miserably and Reyes counters with a nice body shot. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Johnson is defended easily by Reyes. Reyes avoids the head kick by Johnson.
Johnson looks to throw a body kick and Reyes counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Johnson's guard now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reyes engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Johnson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Reyes has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Reyes passes Johnson's left leg - he's now in half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Johnson is refusing to be controlled, as Reyes sits in half guard. Reyes performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Reyes landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reyes seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Johnson wants to control but Reyes is keeping busy and won't allow it. Reyes stands up out of the half guard. Reyes displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Johnson is rocked! Reyes shoots and scores a devastating slam takedown! Johnson is unconscious as Reyes celebrates over his stricken foe!
