The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tapio throws an off balance right hand

and Berry counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Tapio pulls Berry in to control the position.

Kari Tapio has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Tapio misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tapio has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Berry finds it's way round the side to connect with Tapio's head.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tapio is defended easily by Berry.

Berry digs a good hook to Tapio's body.
Berry bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Tapio lands a jab-cross combination.
Tapio tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Berry is defended easily by Tapio.

and Berry counters with a leg kick.
Tapio throws a jab but it's blocked by Berry.
Berry connects with a leg kick. Tapio looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Berry's jab looks to have found its range, popping Tapio under the eye.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Berry scores with a head kick. Tapio tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Tapio on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Berry lands a nice leg kick that just misses Tapio's sensitive parts.
Tapio is still on wobbly legs! Can Berry finish him?

Tapio is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Berry Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Tapio is out cold, face down on the mat!
