Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Defoe Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Defoe Gracie is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jose Aldo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Defoe Gracie!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Gracie scores with a body shot.
Gracie looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gracie jabs Aldo to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Aldo tries to clinch up
so Gracie counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aldo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie drops back, looking for a kneebar! Aldo looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Aldo looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Aldo!

Gracie is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Aldo's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Gracie is doing well to control the position and prevent Aldo from advancing to side control.
Gracie wants to control but Aldo is keeping busy.
Aldo is trying to control the action in half guard but Gracie is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Aldo throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Gracie is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Aldo pulls his head out easily.
Aldo is looking for a kimura but Gracie is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Aldo to get the leverage.
Gracie looking for submissions off his back.
Aldo seems to be working for a kimura but Gracie defends the submission attempt.
Gracie tries to get to full guard but Aldo has control of the leg.
Gracie manages to get to full guard.
Gracie pulls Aldo in close to his closed guard and prevents Aldo from doing any damage or advancing position.

Gracie has his foot on Aldo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Aldo works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie pushes Aldo off and scrambles back to his feet.
Gracie dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Aldo tries to clinch
and Gracie counters with a nice double leg into side control. Aldo won't be happy with that.
Gracie trying to control the position but Aldo is working away.
Aldo tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Gracie presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Aldo is trying to stand.
Gracie wants to take his opponent's back but Aldo doesn't allow it.
Gracie trying to control but Aldo is having none of it.
Gracie fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Gracie scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Aldo?
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gracie moves to take his opponent's back.
Gracie is landing with strikes from the back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Defoe Gracie dominated that round.
That's time! Aldo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Gracie looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Aldo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Gracie wants to pass the guard but Aldo is keeping the position.
Gracie postures up and lands a big shot to Aldo's brow.
Gracie won't allow Aldo to get back to his feet.
Gracie drops back looking for a leg! Aldo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Aldo manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into Aldo's guard.
Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Aldo's guard.

Gracie wants to take a breather but Aldo is having none of it.
Aldo is trying to stand.
Gracie has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Aldo in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Gracie in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Aldo is trying to reverse the position but instead Gracie has taken his back - oops!

Gracie working for a choke but Aldo is defending well.
Aldo trying to control but not successfully.
Gracie is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Aldo has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Gracie has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Aldo taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Gracie doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Defoe Gracie!
