Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tim Fraser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Perko Late (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Late has chosen No Easy Way Out as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Fraser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Perko Late!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Late misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fraser.
Fraser tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Late counters with a single leg into guard. Fraser didn't expect that.
Fraser pulls Late in close to his closed guard and prevents Late from doing any damage or advancing position.
Late wants to control from the top but Fraser keeps moving.

Fraser throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Late escapes and throws Fraser's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Late wants to control but Fraser is keeping him busy.
Fraser manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Late is not content to let Fraser control the position.

Fraser is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Late defends it well.

Late is pressing down on Fraser's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Fraser passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Late tries to get to full guard but Fraser has control of the leg.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Late wants to control but Fraser is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Fraser is looking for a kimura here.

Fraser is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Fraser slips a nice elbow through Late's hands, connecting with Late's forehead.

Fraser seems to be working for a kimura but Late defends the submission attempt.
Late makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Late.

Late keeping moving, preventing Fraser from controlling successfully.
Fraser throws and elbow that misses. Late uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Fraser's guard. Nice move by Late!
Late trying to control but Fraser is working from the bottom.

Fraser had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Late defends it easily.
Late passes into half guard.
Late wants to pass the guard but Fraser is defending well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Fraser flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Fraser connecting with a few gentle strikes.
Late passes to full mount!
Fraser tries to lock up and control but Late gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fraser tries to reverse the position but Late maintains control.
Late with good strikes from the mount here!
Late looking to finish Fraser with some ground and pound. This is bad for Fraser!
Fraser regains half guard.
Late is just content to waste time from the top position. Fraser takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Perko Late dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Fraser slaps away a takedown attempt from Late, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Fraser scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Fraser avoids the body shot from Late.
Fraser throws a hook but Late avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice body punch from Fraser.
Fraser throws a lazy uppercut
and Late counters with a left to the body.
Fraser throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Fraser ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Late moves away.
Fraser scores with the left hand. Late knows he should have avoided that one.
Fraser swings for the body but Late moves out of range.
Late shoots in looking for a takedown but Fraser manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Late's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Late tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fraser was well out of range. Poor timing from Late.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Late enables Fraser to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Late manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Fraser wanted to stand there but Late had control of the position.
Fraser wants to control from the top but Late keeps moving.
Fraser looking to pass the guard.

Fraser trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Fraser throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Late works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

We're going to have a standup here because Tim Fraser wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Fraser wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Fraser connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Late's hands.
Late closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fraser circles away.
Tim Fraser has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Perko Late.
Fraser throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Late stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Fraser looks to throw the jab but Late is out of range.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Fraser here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Late lands with an uppercut that bounces Fraser off the cage and back into rage.
Fraser keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Tim Fraser seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fraser rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Late counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Fraser's guard now.

Fraser not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Fraser has control of Late's left arm, preventing Late from doing any damage.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Fraser tries to close the distance and clinch but Late swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Late gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Fraser to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Fraser gets to his feet - Late follows without any prompting.

and Late counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Late.

Fraser working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Late doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Late manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Late wants to control from the top but Fraser keeps moving.
Fraser is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Fraser throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Late trying to control the position from guard on top but Fraser is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Fraser trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Perko Late has got the better of the ground game so far.

Fraser is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Late is aware though and is defending well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Late working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Late tries to free his leg and advance position but Fraser is retaining full guard.
Late passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Late wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fraser keeps working.
You can see the frustration on Fraser's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Late staying calm.

Fraser is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Late's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Late trying to pass the guard but Fraser defending well.

Late must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Fraser wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Late is now in half guard.
Fraser is not content to let Late control the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fraser wants to get back to full guard.

Fraser actively working from the bottom here.
Late is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Fraser moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Late advances position into side control!
Fraser manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Late is trying to maintain the position but Fraser is very close to passing his half guard.
Fraser wants to lay and pray for a moment but Late keeps working.

I would just about give that final round to Perko Late.
I think Late has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
