Starkey has chosen Cock Sparrer - England Belongs To Me as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Gerald Young I!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, George Starkey!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young I fails to land the takedown.
Young I ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Starkey moves away.

Young I closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Starkey to the mat! Starkey manages to get full guard.

Young I got a little sloppy there for a moment and Starkey has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Young I has managed to get both his arms back between Starkey's legs - danger averted.
Starkey is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Young I landing some decent shots from guard.
Young I is stalling in the full guard.

Young I gets to his feet - Starkey follows without any prompting.

Young I wants to lay and pray for a moment but Starkey keeps working.
Young I just content to control the position.
Starkey is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Young I asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Young I tries to advance to mount but Starkey denies him.
Young I knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Starkey on the ground.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Starkey is staying active underneath Young I, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Starkey pushes Young I off looking to stand but Young I dives back in and keeps control.
Young I is trying to control the action in half guard but Starkey is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Young I postures up in Starkey's guard and throws a big left but Starkey blocks it.

Young I fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Starkey sprawls well initially but Young I persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Starkey keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Young I is trying to control the action in half guard but Starkey is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Young I is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Starkey is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Horrible takedown by Young I or perhaps it was just good defense by Starkey which made him look bad.

Starkey bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Starkey has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Young I can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Young I drops back, looking for a kneebar! Starkey looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Starkey looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Starkey!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Young I is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

George Starkey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

George Starkey comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Starkey has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
