The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaremba connects with a leg kick. Sylvia looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Sylvia throws a leg kick
and Zaremba counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Sylvia is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Sylvia leaves Zaremba with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Zaremba closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sylvia to the mat! Sylvia manages to get full guard.
Sylvia is looking to stand up but Zaremba isn't so interested in that idea.

Sylvia tries to escape but Zaremba is in control.
Zaremba is staying tight to Sylvia's torso, preventing him from escaping.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sylvia dodges the ground and pound from Zaremba.
Zaremba prevents Sylvia from escaping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zaremba seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Zaremba's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Pawel Zaremba has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Sylvia lands a big head kick that sends Zaremba tumbling to the mat! Sylvia takes a step backwards and waves Zaremba back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Pawel Zaremba has been cut.
Sylvia fakes the leg kick and cracks Zaremba in the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sylvia looks to land a combination but Zaremba avoids it well.
Sylvia scores with a jab. Zaremba acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Sylvia misses with a head kick.
Zaremba drops his hands momentarily and Sylvia needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Zaremba just on the top of the head. Zaremba drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Zaremba - he's done!
