Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jethro Pugh Rockefeller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ian Trumps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trumps has chosen Jay Z - Money, Cash, Hoes as his entrance music. Jethro Pugh Rockefeller could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ian Trumps's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jethro Pugh Rockefeller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ian Trumps!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Joseph Jones and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trumps moves in looking to clinch but Rockefeller pushes him off.
Rockefeller throws a series of punches but Trumps moves out of range.

Trumps closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Trumps is working Rockefeller over with some ground and pound from side control.
Rockefeller defending against the ground and pound.
Rockefeller takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Rockefeller taking punishment in the form of punches.
Trumps trying to control the action but Rockefeller is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rockefeller is trying to improve his position.

Trumps throws a strike aimed at the side of Rockefeller's head but Rockefeller avoids it well.
Trumps creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Rockefeller sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Rockefeller is not content to let Trumps control the position.
Rockefeller sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Rockefeller actively working from the bottom here.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Rockefeller has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Trumps is working away from the top position though.
Rockefeller tries to roll over but Trumps keeps him under control.
Rockefeller won't allow Trumps to pass to mount.
The fighters are battling for position here. Rockefeller manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Trumps stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rockefeller swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rockefeller escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Trumps gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Trumps postures up.
Trumps trying to control the position from guard on top but Rockefeller is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Trumps is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Rockefeller is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Rockefeller has escaped and now he's on top!
Trumps controls Rockefeller momentarily but Rockefeller frees himself.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Rockefeller wants to control from the top but Trumps keeps moving.
Rockefeller missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Trumps has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rockefeller can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Rockefeller loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Rockefeller lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Trumps is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Trumps has momentary wrist control but Rockefeller slips an elbow through the middle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rockefeller throws a leg kick that is checked

and Trumps holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Rockefeller wants to stall.

Rockefeller with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Rockefeller breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Trumps tries to clinch but Rockefeller moves out of range.

Rockefeller goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

and Rockefeller counters with a single leg into guard. Trumps didn't expect that.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Trumps has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rockefeller can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Rockefeller has gone for a leg lock! Trumps slips out almost immediately though and dives into Rockefeller's guard.
Trumps trying to control the position from guard on top but Rockefeller is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Rockefeller escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Trumps gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Rockefeller looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Trumps sitting in guard here, content to control.
Trumps advances to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rockefeller wants to control but Trumps is keeping busy.
Rockefeller is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Trumps working the head and body with strikes.
Trumps looks to land a strike but Rockefeller avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Rockefeller trying to control the position.
Jethro Pugh Rockefeller overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Trumps working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Trumps stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rockefeller swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Trumps is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Rockefeller is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Trumps trying to control but Rockefeller is working from the bottom.
Trumps wants to stand but Rockefeller has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jethro Pugh Rockefeller dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Rockefeller tries to land a leg kick but Trumps saw it coming and moves away.
The fighters circling - Rockefeller throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Rockefeller throws a low kick, looking for Trumps's leg but Trumps calmly moves out of range.
Rockefeller getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Trumps shoots in looking for a takedown. Rockefeller tries to sprawl out of it but Trumps keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rockefeller manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jethro Pugh Rockefeller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Trumps counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Rockefeller is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Trumps is aware though and is defending well.

Trumps wants to pass the guard but Rockefeller is keeping the position.

Rockefeller had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Trumps defends it easily.
Rockefeller has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Trumps has passed into side control.
Rockefeller manages to get back to half guard.
Rockefeller wants to get back to full guard but Trumps has mounted him!

Rockefeller is rocked!
Rockefeller is in all sorts of trouble here.

Trumps working for a submission but Rockefeller is keeping him at bay.
Rockefeller takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Trumps looking to control and managing it successfully.
Rockefeller is trying desperately to improve position.
Trumps postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Rockefeller looks a forlorn figure.
Rockefeller tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Poor strikes thrown by Trumps there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Ian Trumps comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Trumps has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
