The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza looks to clinch

and Okamoto counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Okamoto is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Okamoto cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Okamoto looking to control and managing it successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Souza wants to get back to his feet.
Okamoto takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Okamoto is landing with some decent strikes but Souza is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Souza wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Okamoto tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Okamoto connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Okamoto pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Okamoto cracks Souza with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Souza is still in real trouble! Can Okamoto finish him?

Souza takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Okamoto's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
