Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Heath Ledger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gk King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King has chosen ACDC- Thunderstruck as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Heath Ledger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Gk King! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Damien Edna and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ledger takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
King thows a body shot but no joy. King has managed to clinch.
King gets through Ledger's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. A short body shot lands from King as the two fighters clinch.
Ledger is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. King connects with a nasty looking knee right to Ledger's face.
It looks like Heath Ledger has been cut. King lands a body shot. Ledger takes a shot to the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! King works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Ledger is breathing heavily. King lands a damaging elbow. King scores with a hook to the body. King pushes Ledger back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. King lands a nice knee to the body. King connects with a knee to the head.

Ledger is working for takedown but King is calmly controlling the position for now. King scores with an uppercut up the middle. King successfully pulls guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ledger wants to get up but he can't break King's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. King keeping moving, preventing Ledger from controlling successfully. Ledger throws and elbow that misses. King uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ledger's guard. Nice move by King! Ledger will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. King scores with a decent looking elbow strike. King seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Ledger throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! King escapes and throws Ledger's legs to the side, diving into side control! King cracks Ledger with a big right hand but Ledger just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
That's two minutes gone in the round. King advances nicely into full mount. King takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. King working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! King has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ledger's face.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Ledger is looking to get to half guard. Ledger is bucking up trying to escape but King cracks him with another couple of good strikes. King landing strikes from the mount. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! King raining down shots from the mount! King tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. King cracks Ledger with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
King with a couple of short strikes. King is working for a guillotine from mount but Ledger frees his head quite easily.

King lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Ledger hang on? King is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ledger can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

That's four minutes gone in the round. King landing strikes from the mount and Ledger is in trouble! King throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Ledger has his hands clasped together but King breaks the hold and Ledger is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by King!
