Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mr Eko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kosty Badzenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mr Eko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kosty Badzenko!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Eko enables Badzenko to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Eko manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Eko looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Badzenko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Eko swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Eko had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Badzenko defends it easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Eko wants to sweep but no luck.
Eko might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Eko is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Eko is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Eko is working for a kimura but Badzenko is defending it quite comfortably.

Eko is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Badzenko sees it coming and defends easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Badzenko has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Eko is working away from the top position though.
Badzenko is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Eko is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Badzenko is just riding it out for now. Eko eventually gives up the hold.
Eko is thwarting Badzenko's attempts to control the position.

Eko is working for a kimura but Badzenko is defending it quite comfortably.
Eko passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Badzenko!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Badzenko wants to control but Eko is having none of it.

Eko looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Badzenko can't escape the position.

Eko is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Badzenko is surviving well by controlling Eko's body position as best he can.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Badzenko is looking to improve his position but Eko isn't that keen on the idea.

Eko is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Eko extends the arm and Badzenko is forced to tap!
