Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Den Burlaka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Paul Parker!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burlaka tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Parker counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Parker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Burlaka circles away quickly and effectively.
Parker misses with a few strikes there.
Parker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Burlaka moves away.
Burlaka closes the distance looking to clinch
and Parker counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Parker!


Burlaka is rocked!
Parker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Burlaka darts in trying to clinch

and Parker counters by clinching up.
Burlaka jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Parker walks away with a smile on his face. Burlaka gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Parker looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Parker throws a right and a left that both miss.
Parker throws a left and a right that both miss

and Burlaka counters by moving into the clinch.
Parker lands with a left to the head.
Burlaka jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Parker walks away with a smile on his face. Burlaka gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Parker misses with a straight left.
Parker cracks Burlaka on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Burlaka falls backwards against the cage. Parker follows up with more strikes that drop Burlaka to his knees. Parker keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Burlaka! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Parker!
