Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Dawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jarvis Messam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dawson comes into the arena with Iggy Pop & The Stooges - Search and Destroy blaring out of the sound system. Messam has chosen Boombastic by Shaggy as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jarvis Messam!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Messam throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dawson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Messam shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Dawson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Messam defends well.
Messam trying to control but Dawson is working from the bottom.
Messam drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Messam jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Messam in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Messam passes Dawson's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Dawson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Messam on the ground.
Messam passes the guard and advances to mount!
Messam looking to secure an arm triangle but Dawson defends it well.
Dawson can't escape the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Messam is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Dawson is forced to tap! Great finish!
