Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Florent Menez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leon Lao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lao has chosen RAWR as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Donald Grub and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Menez with a lazy takedown attempt
and Lao counters with a stiff right hand.
Lao scores a takedown into full mount!
Menez manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Lao keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Menez looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Menez kicks off Lao and gets to his feet.
Menez fails with the takedown
and Lao counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lao is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Lao thows a big elbow that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lao wanted to stand there but Menez had control of the position.
Menez is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Lao sitting in guard here, content to control.
Lao looking to sit in guard and control but Menez gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Menez passes Lao's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lao punching from the bottom.
Lao pushes Menez off looking to stand but Menez dives back in and keeps control.
Menez is looking to take a break and control but Lao is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lao wants to sweep but Menez has passed to side control!
Menez looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Menez is working to tighten is grip on Lao's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Lao has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Menez is really squeezing tight and eventually Lao passes out! Menez breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
