The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Paquiao counters with a straight right hand.
Good shot there by Young.
Paquiao throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A combination from Young does no damage.
Paquiao's jab looks to have found its range, popping Young under the eye.
Young falls off balance throwing a combination
and Paquiao counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Paquiao cracks a nice hook into Young's ribs.

Paquiao scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Young doesn't seem bothered though.
Paquiao feints a jab promting Young to slip. Paquiao then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Young slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Paquiao lands a glancing blow to the side of Young's head.
Paquiao throws a shot from downtown. Young moves away and avoids it.

Paquiao connects with a crisp jab.
Paquiao takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Patrick Young seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Young throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Paquiao counters with a left to the body.
Paquiao bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Young's head backwards.
Young takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Paquiao tests Young's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Young misses with a body punch
and Paquiao cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Young throws a combination that misses
and Paquiao connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Young throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Paquiao counters with a one-two to the body.
Young is rocked!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Young is still on wobbly legs! Can Paquiao finish him?

Paquiao drops Young with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Young! Paquiao dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
