2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Postev! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Igor Prikhodko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Postev rushes Fisher and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Fisher pushes Postev back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Fisher is fighting off a takedown attempt but Postev is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Fisher to the mat. Fisher regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Postev stops Fisher from standing up. Postev is fighting to break Fisher's control of his arms but Fisher is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Fisher manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Fisher feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fisher loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Postev is trying to control the position but Fisher postures up.
