Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kixo Caludo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Adebisi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kixo Caludo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Simon Adebisi!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adebisi throws an off balance right hand

and Caludo counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Caludo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Adebisi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Caludo trying to control but Adebisi is working from the bottom.

Caludo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Caludo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Caludo won't allow Adebisi to sweep him here.

Caludo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Adebisi is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Caludo, into his guard.

Caludo works his way to full guard. Good work.
Adebisi wants to stand and escape but instead Caludo has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Adebisi keeping moving, preventing Caludo from controlling successfully.

Caludo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Caludo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Caludo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Caludo not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Caludo wants to pass the guard but Adebisi is keeping the position.
Adebisi preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Caludo in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Caludo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Adebisi is keeping the position for now.
Caludo working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Adebisi's head.
Caludo postures up in Adebisi's guard and throws a big left but Adebisi blocks it.

Caludo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Caludo would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Caludo throws a big right hand that misses.

Caludo drops back looking for a leg! Adebisi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Adebisi manages to kick Caludo off! Caludo jumps back into Adebisi's guard.
Adebisi looking for a sweep. Not yet Adebisi, not yet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Caludo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Adebisi manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Caludo has Adebisi in his guard.
Adebisi wants to stand but Caludo has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kixo Caludo dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Nice takedown defense from Adebisi. No joy for Caludo on that attempt.

and Adebisi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Caludo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Adebisi's guard.
Caludo wants to control from the top but Adebisi keeps moving.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Caludo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Adebisi doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Caludo.
Caludo is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Adebisi!

Caludo wants to finish this one by submission but Adebisi is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Caludo.
Caludo breaks from Adebisi's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Caludo with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Poor strikes thrown by Caludo there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Caludo throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Adebisi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Caludo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Adebisi tries to hold on but Caludo postures up.

Adebisi is looking to improve his position but Caludo isn't that keen on the idea.
Caludo is landing with some decent strikes but Adebisi is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Caludo misses with a head shot.

Caludo is working for a guillotine from mount but Adebisi frees his head quite easily.
Caludo throwing strikes here but Adebisi is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Caludo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Caludo is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Caludo.
Adebisi uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Caludo has time to react.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Caludo throws a lazy head kick
and Adebisi counters with a stiff right hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Adebisi throws a jab when Caludo was well out of range.
Caludo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kixo Caludo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Adebisi scores with the left hand. Caludo knows he should have avoided that one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Simon Adebisi will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Adebisi connects with a right hand. Caludo shakes it off.
Caludo throws a sloppy body shot

and Caludo is countered with a crisp right hand from Adebisi that sends him to the canvas! Adebisi follows him to the mat into side control.

Adebisi wants to stand but Caludo has his arm trapped.

Adebisi stands up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Caludo shoots and misses
and Adebisi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Caludo tries for a takedown but Adebisi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Adebisi. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Adebisi misses with a straight right.
Adebisi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Caludo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Simon Adebisi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Adebisi lands a big shot that drops Caludo! Can he finish him?
Oh Caludo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Caludo has a closed guard, preventing Adebisi from standing up.
Caludo seems to have got his legs back now.

Kixo Caludo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Simon Adebisi has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Caludo shoots in but no luck this time.

and Caludo counters with a takedown into side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Adebisi can do anything to dispel that myth.

Caludo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Adebisi, who protects the arm well.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Caludo tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Caludo creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Adebisi sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

And that's the end of the fight!
Simon Adebisi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Adebisi has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
