6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kazuki Kobayashi! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Penn misses with a leg kick and Kobayashi makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Penn throws a sloppy body shot
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Penn swings and misses with a shot to the body and Kobayashi counters with a slapping leg kick. Penn misses the body punch and Kobayashi counters with a thumping low kick. Penn throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kobayashi counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kobayashi. Kobayashi lands an elbow that stopped Penn in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Pj Penn has been cut. Kobayashi with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Kobayashi connects with a knee to the head.
