Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ninja Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ol Bastard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kid comes into the arena with Stratovarius - Hunting High and Low blaring out of the sound system. Bastard has chosen Ol' Dirty Bastard - Brooklyn Zoo as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ninja Kid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ol Bastard!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kid throws a predictable looking body shot
and Bastard counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kid thinking.
Kid takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kid throws a shot from downtown. Bastard moves away and avoids it.
Ol Bastard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bastard gets a clinch.
Bastard pushes Kid back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Bastard lands a hook that snaps the head of Kid backwards.
Bastard lands an uppercut.
Kid has Bastard pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kid pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bastard tumbling to the mat - Kid dives into Bastard's guard.
Bastard tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Kid trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bastard working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kid doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kid manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Bastard pulls Kid in close to his closed guard and prevents Kid from doing any damage or advancing position.
Kid advances position into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kid remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kid goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Bastard has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kid but great work by Bastard.
Kid is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Bastard off and has taken his back!
Bastard is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Kid off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Kid looking for the RNC.
Kid is trying to control but Bastard is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.

Kid unloads with some shots from mount but Bastard bucks and avoids them well.
Bastard tries to lock up and control but Kid gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Bastard holds on to Kid around his waist, trying desperately to prevent any attacks.
The referee warns Bastard that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Kid trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Bastard is working to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kid working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Bastard blocking the ground and pound.
Kid looking to ground and pound but Bastard is blocking nicely.
Kid moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Bastard has worked his arm free - good work by Bastard!
Kid is looking to take a break and control but Bastard is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Kid lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bastard at a distance.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Bastard uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kid.
Bastard throws a poor cross that misses
and Kid cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kid drives through with a takedown into Bastard's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Kid trying to control the position from guard on top but Bastard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bastard is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kid drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kid jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Kid wants to control from the top but Bastard keeps moving.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kid being controlled here momentarily.
Bastard is trying to control the position but Kid postures up.
Bastard can't keep his opponent in guard - Kid advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Bastard is defending against the submission attempts here by Kid.
Bastard is not content to let Kid control the position.

Bastard won't allow Kid to pass to mount.

Kid looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kid is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Bastard to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Bastard shrugs it off.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bastard is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ninja Kid dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Bastard swings widly with a right hand
and Kid counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bastard misses with a combination
and Kid holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Kid is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bastard gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Kid has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Bastard is trying to keep an underhook but Kid manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Kid is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bastard sees it coming and defends easily.
Kid works his way into full mount!
Bastard is looking to improve his position but Kid isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bastard is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Kid scoring with strikes but Bastard is staying in there.
Kid has control of Bastard's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bastard regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Kid loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Bastard scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Kid land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Kid stands and salutes the crowd.
