The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cottle gets a takedown into half guard.
Cottle trying to control from half guard but Rhymes is working away.
Cottle is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Rhymes!

Cottle wants to finish this one by submission but Rhymes is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Cottle.
Rhymes takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Cottle goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Rhymes is on top in guard.
Rhymes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cottle is keeping the position for now.
Rhymes wants to stand but Cottle is controlling his posture from full guard.
Cottle can't keep his opponent in guard - Rhymes advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Cottle moves into full guard.

Rhymes tries to free his leg and advance position but Cottle is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rhymes won't allow Cottle to sweep him here.
Cottle keeping moving, preventing Rhymes from controlling successfully.
Rhymes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cottle swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rhymes is posturing up here but Cottle has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Rhymes tries to roll out but it's too tight and Rhymes has to tap! Slick submission there by Cottle!
