Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maafala takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Maafala tries to clinch
and Civita counters with a stiff right hand.
Civita connects with a jab.
Civita tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Maafala was well out of range. Poor timing from Civita.
Civita circles away from the clinch attempt
enabling Civita to counter with a crisp jab.
Civita shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Maafala but Maafala pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Maafala wants to clinch
and Civita counters with a one-two to the body.
Maafala leaves Civita with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Maafala is pressed up against the cage. Civita has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Maafala down to the mat. Maafala avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Civita goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Civita fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Maafala sprawls well initially but Civita persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Civita is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Maafala is refusing to be controlled, as Civita sits in half guard.
Civita tries to pass to full mount but Maafala defends it.
Civita is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Maafala doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Civita.

Civita is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Maafala tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Civita cranks the arm and Maafala screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Maafala, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
