Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Keith Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocco Marchegiano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stone comes to the cage accompanied by I like BEER! Tom T. Hall. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Jab, jab by Marchegiano - just one landing.
Stone takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Marchegiano jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

and Marchegiano counters with a one-two to the body.

and Stone makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

and Marchegiano counters with a stiff right hand.
Stone's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Marchegiano connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Stone scrambles back to his feet.

Stone throws a body punch but Marchegiano moves out of range.
Marchegiano cracks Stone with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Stone walks into a stiff left hand from Marchegiano.
Stone stuns Marchegiano with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Stone lands a glancing blow to the side of Marchegiano's head.

and Stone counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Marchegiano is lucky that one didn't land flush.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Marchegiano makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Marchegiano throws a series of punches but Stone avoids them all with ease.

Marchegiano takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Stone will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Marchegiano is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Stone had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Stone fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Stone lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Marchegiano has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Marchegiano and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Stone wants to free his trapped foot but Marchegiano is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Marchegiano is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stone throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Marchegiano might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Marchegiano really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stone. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
