Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drederick Tatum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenny Mathews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tatum has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Drederick Tatum! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kenny Mathews! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mathews drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Tatum's face as Mathews controls the position. Mathews working the ground and pound from side control. Mathews scoring with punches from side control. Tatum is breathing heavily. Mathews wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tatum, who protects the arm well. Mathews is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tatum is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Mathews working the body and head with strikes. Mathews controlling the position. Mathews landing a few strikes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mathews working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Mathews looks up at the clock and then as Tatum takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Mathews smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Mathews really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tatum. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mathews just content to control the position. Mathews advances nicely into full mount. Tatum's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Tatum in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Mathews tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Mathews is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Tatum is surviving well by controlling Mathews's body position as best he can. Mathews lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Tatum hang on? Mathews looking to control and managing it successfully. It looks like Mathews might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mathews's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Mathews with a couple of short strikes. Mathews unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Tatum wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Mathews celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
