Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Somsak Wongrach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Nunuz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Somsak Wongrach! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Diego Nunuz! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nunuz pushes Wongrach up against the cage in a clinch. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Nunuz successfully pulls guard.
Nunuz is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Nunuz scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Wongrach leaves Nunuz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Wongrach gets off balance looking for a body kick and Nunuz counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Wongrach thinking. Wongrach throws a left and a right that both miss
and Nunuz holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Nunuz gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Wongrach.
Nunuz successfully pulls guard.
Wongrach throwing strikes from guard but Nunuz blocks nicely. Nunuz keeping moving, preventing Wongrach from controlling successfully. Nunuz seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wongrach working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Nunuz has control of Wongrach's left arm, preventing Wongrach from doing any damage. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Nunuz has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Wongrach off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Nunuz shoots in looking for a takedown but Wongrach manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nunuz's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Wongrach with a poor takedown and Nunuz counters by moving into the clinch. Wongrach fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Somsak Wongrach. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wongrach wants to break free but Nunuz has control.
Wongrach goes for a takedown attempt but Nunuz pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Nunuz clinches. Nunuz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Wongrach misses with a takedown attempt - Nunuz sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Nunuz moves into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nunuz jumps guard.
Wongrach has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Wongrach throws a strike but Nunuz rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Nunuz decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Wongrach, up you get! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nunuz is defended easily by Wongrach. Wongrach has his takedown stuffed and Nunuz moves into the clinch. Nunuz has Wongrach pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Wongrach manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Nunuz looks gassed! Wongrach tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Nunuz drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Wongrach gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Wongrach wants to get back to striking at distance but Nunuz won't allow it.
Wongrach has Nunuz pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Nunuz manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Wongrach tries to break free but Nunuz pushes him back against the cage. Nunuz lands a left hand that snaps the head of Wongrach backwards. Wongrach fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Nunuz gets control of Wongrach's arms and successfully pulls guard. Nunuz will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Nunuz manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Nunuz throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Nunuz tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Nunuz misses with a head shot. Nunuz thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Nunuz looking to control and managing it successfully. Wongrach knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nunuz on the ground. Nunuz lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Diego Nunuz dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Wongrach shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Wongrach shoots in but Nunuz avoids the takedown attempt easily. Wongrach dives in and grabs Nunuz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nunuz pushes down on Wongrach's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Somsak Wongrach. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wongrach misses with a hook
and Nunuz counters with a nice double leg into guard. Nunuz stands and steps away. Wongrach gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Wongrach leaves Nunuz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Nice shot lands for Nunuz. Nunuz drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nunuz has knee on belly and moves into mount. Nunuz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nunuz sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wongrach wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Nunuz.

Wongrach sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Wongrach trying to hold on to Nunuz's head to control him but Nunuz postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Nunuz decides to stand and escape the position. Nunuz shoots for a double leg takedown but Wongrach sprawls well. He's pushed Nunuz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Wongrach looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Nunuz fails to land the takedown. Somsak Wongrach is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wongrach looks for a takedown but Nunuz sprawls well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nunuz throws a series of punches but Wongrach avoids them all with ease. Wongrach throws a body kick that misses. Wongrach delivers a nice body kick. Nunuz takes the fight into the clinch. Nunuz pulls Wongrach into guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Nunuz throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Nunuz pushes Wongrach off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Wongrach fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Wongrach closes the distance and clinches up with Nunuz, looking for a takedown. Wongrach pushes Nunuz against the cage but Nunuz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Wongrach throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nunuz's waist but Nunuz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wongrach off to one side. Nunuz lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Nunuz shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Wongrach manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Nunuz preventing the sweep. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nunuz content to stall in guard here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Diego Nunuz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Horrible takedown by Wongrach or perhaps it was just good defense by Nunuz which made him look bad. No luck for Nunuz with that takedown attempt. Nunuz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wongrach sprawls well. Wongrach wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nunuz gets slowly back to his feet. Wongrach throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Wongrach tries to clinch and Nunuz counters by moving into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wongrach being controlled against the cage. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Nunuz pulls Wongrach into guard.
Nunuz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Nunuz keeping moving, preventing Wongrach from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wongrach throws and elbow that misses. Nunuz uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Wongrach's guard. Nice move by Nunuz! Nunuz stands and steps away. Wongrach gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Wongrach throws a push kick but Nunuz slaps the foot to one side. Nunuz stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nunuz wants it to stay on the feet. Wongrach wants to clinch up but Nunuz keeps it at a distance. Wongrach shoots for a takedown but Nunuz saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Somsak Wongrach. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wongrach slaps away a takedown attempt from Nunuz, before circling back to the center of the mat. Nice takedown defense from Nunuz. No joy for Wongrach on that attempt. Nunuz walks forward, straight into a front kick from Wongrach.

Wongrach shoots in but Nunuz avoids the takedown attempt easily. Nunuz fails to land the takedown. Nunuz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wongrach.

Nunuz striking off his back but it's not causing Wongrach any problems. Nunuz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wongrach defends well. Nunuz has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nunuz can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wongrach trying to control the position from guard on top but Nunuz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Somsak Wongrach wasn't doing enough on the ground. Wongrach doesn't succeed with the takedown and Nunuz counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Nunuz stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nunuz wants it to stay on the feet. Nunuz has a takedown stuffed. Wongrach throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nunuz's waist but Nunuz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wongrach off to one side. Wongrach looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Wongrach gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nunuz to score an easy takedown into full guard. Nunuz stands up from Wongrach's guard - Nunuz perhaps looking for a knockout. Somsak Wongrach has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Diego Nunuz is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Nunuz shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wongrach's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Diego Nunuz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Nunuz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
