Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Fiddel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ralph Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shields has chosen RAWR as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chuck Fiddel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ralph Shields! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fiddel shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Shields is trying to defend but Fiddel finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Fiddel prevents Shields from improving his position. Shields regains full guard. Nicely done. Shields working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fiddel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fiddel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Shields working for submissions but it's allowed Fiddel to get to half guard.
Shields flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Fiddel is just content to waste time from the top position. Shields takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Shields is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Fiddel defends well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fiddel looking to sit in guard and control but Shields gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Shields throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fiddel works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Shields postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Shields has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Fiddel utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Shields thows a big elbow that misses. Fiddel looking for a sweep. Not yet Fiddel, not yet. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Fiddel is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Fiddel has momentary wrist control but Shields slips an elbow through the middle. Fiddel working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shields doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Shields manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Fiddel might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Shields is in close to Fiddel's body, working some short punches and elbows. Shields pushes down on Fiddel's leg and manages to get into half guard. Fiddel is breathing heavily. Shields seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shields is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Shields looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Shields is thwarting Fiddel's attempts to control the position. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Shields lands a nice short elbow. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Ralph Shields dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Shields throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Fiddel tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Shields is in Fiddel's guard. Shields throwing strikes from guard but Fiddel blocks nicely. Fiddel is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Shields scoring with some ground and pound. Shields passes easily into side control. Nice work. Shields tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Shields is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Fiddel knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Shields working the body and head with strikes. Fiddel could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shields tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Shields has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Fiddel on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Shields cracks Fiddel with a big right hand but Fiddel just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Ralph Shields showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Fiddel's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Shields is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fiddel is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Shields connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Fiddel some visible discomfort.

Shields lands a few punches from side control. Fiddel tries to bench press Shields off him but Shields keeps the position. Shields is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Fiddel is trying to escape and Shields transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Fiddel is forced to tap! Nice work there by Shields! Very nice indeed!
