Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mr Phil Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Nevsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 1 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mr Phil Davis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Nevsky! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Viktor Lagutenko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nevsky misses with a body punch
and Davis counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Davis. Nevsky looking to hit a scissor sweep but Davis is one step ahead there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nevsky is adopting a defensive guard. Davis seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Nevsky bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Davis's guard. Nevsky preventing the sweep. Davis trying to control the position here. Davis keeping moving, preventing Nevsky from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Davis is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Nevsky throws and elbow that misses. Davis uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Nevsky's guard. Nice move by Davis! Nevsky had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Davis defends it easily. Davis slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Nevsky struggling a bit here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Davis trying to control the action but Nevsky is working from the bottom. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Nevsky stops Davis from passing to mount. Davis landing a few strikes. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Davis working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Davis lands an elbow. Davis wants to control but Nevsky is keeping him busy. Nevsky is looking for a sweep. Nevsky is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Davis lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Nevsky down.
Davis tries to score with some ground and pound. Nevsky controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Nevsky's face as Davis controls the position. Nevsky avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Davis. Nevsky is trying to improve his position. Nevsky is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Davis has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Nevsky really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Davis wants to control the pace but Nevsky is squirming around nicely. Davis lands a big shot there that rocks Nevsky but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Davis landing strikes from the mount and Nevsky is in trouble! Davis with shots to the head and body - Nevsky looks very uncomfortable down there. Nevsky is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nevsky regains half guard. Nevsky is refusing to be controlled, as Davis sits in half guard. Nevsky has hold of Davis's hands but Davis slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Nevsky is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nevsky on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Nevsky is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Davis working over Nevsky with some ground and pound. Nevsky looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Davis prevents Nevsky from improving his position. Davis is looking for a kimura but Nevsky is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Davis to get the leverage. Davis looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mr Phil Davis dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Davis takes one to the side of the head.
Nevsky throws a combination that misses so Davis counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Nevsky not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Nevsky looking to hit a scissor sweep but Davis is one step ahead there. Davis makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Nevsky keeping moving, preventing Davis from controlling successfully. Nevsky looking to control.
Davis with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis landing some decent shots from guard. Nevsky looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Davis has picked Nevsky up and slammed him! Nevsky can't keep hold of the triangle and Davis manages to pass to side control! Davis scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Nevsky to see if he's OK. Davis is looking to take a break and control but Nevsky is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Nevsky is trying to improve his position. Davis controls the position from side control. Nevsky tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Davis wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Nevsky sneaks back into half guard. Nevsky is refusing to be controlled, as Davis sits in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nevsky works his way to full guard. Good work. Nevsky lands an upkick as Davis stands over him. Nevsky lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Davis! Davis tries to lock up and control but Nevsky gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Nevsky throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Davis because Nevsky loaded up on that one. Davis takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Davis bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Davis is in close to Nevsky's body, working some short punches and elbows. Davis is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis preventing the sweep. Nevsky is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Nevsky looking to hit a scissor sweep but Davis is one step ahead there. Nevsky is breathing heavily. Nevsky preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Davis postures up in Nevsky's guard and throws a big left but Nevsky blocks it. Davis slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Davis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Nevsky looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Davis pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nevsky is keeping the position for now. Nevsky bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Davis's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Nevsky passes into half guard. Davis has hold of Nevsky's hands but Nevsky slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Davis moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Davis is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Davis looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nevsky is one step ahead there. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Davis pulls Nevsky in to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nevsky misses with a jab to the body
and Davis counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Nevsky's guard now. Davis trying to control the position from guard on top but Nevsky is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mr Phil Davis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Davis is in close to Nevsky's body, working some short punches and elbows. Nevsky is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Nevsky missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Nevsky scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Nevsky sitting and controlling from the half guard. Nevsky trying to control from half guard but Davis is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nevsky is working away from the top position though. Davis is staying active underneath Nevsky, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Davis is looking for a sweep. Nevsky is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Nevsky not landing any meaningful shots this time. Davis is refusing to be controlled, as Nevsky sits in half guard. Nevsky seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Mr Phil Davis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Davis is not content to let Nevsky control the position. Nevsky is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Nevsky is looking to stall here but Davis recovers full guard. Nevsky trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Nevsky throws and elbow that misses. Davis uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Nevsky's guard. Nice move by Davis!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis controlling from the top position. Davis wants to control from the top but Nevsky keeps moving. Nevsky wants to sweep but no luck. Nevsky is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Nevsky keeping full guard, as Davis tries to pass. Nevsky wants to hit a switch here but Davis passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Nevsky there! Davis controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Davis's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Nevsky is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Davis tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Davis tries to control but Nevsky wriggling away.
We're going to have a standup here because Mr Phil Davis wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Nevsky lands a head shot.
And that's the end of the fight! Mr Phil Davis showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Davis, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
