Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abraham Valuev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viko Maafala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Valuev might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Eminem: Not Afraid. Viko Maafala has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abraham Valuev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Viko Maafala! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maafala gets in close and instigates a clinch. Maafala is trying to drag Valuev to the mat but Valuev just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Maafala tries to score a body lock takedown but Valuev shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Valuev on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Maafala has Valuev pressed against the cage, preventing Valuev from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Valuev stops a takedown attempt from Maafala.
Abraham Valuev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Viko Maafala. Valuev tries to circle away but Maafala has him pinned against the cage. Valuev gets through Maafala's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
It looks like Viko Maafala has been cut. Maafala is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Valuev pulls him back up using the underhooks. Maafala has hold of one of Valuev's legs. Valuev is fighting the takedown attempt but Maafala gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Maafala throwing strikes but missing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Valuev avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Maafala throwing strikes from guard but Valuev blocks nicely. Maafala missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Valuev is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Maafala is controlling him. Valuev looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Maafala puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maafala with the ground and pound but Valuev uses the opportunity to regain guard. Maafala is working Valuev over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Maafala trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Maafala working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Valuev preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Maafala missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Valuev will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Maafala trying to control but Valuev is working from the bottom. Valuev utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Maafala wants to control from the top but Valuev keeps moving. Valuev working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Maafala.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Maafala loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Maafala stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Valuev swivels though and keeps the full guard. Valuev is looking to stand up but Maafala isn't so interested in that idea. Maafala thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Maafala missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Maafala throws a strike but Valuev rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Valuev wants to stand and escape but instead Maafala has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Maafala throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Valuev keeping moving, preventing Maafala from controlling successfully. Maafala stands up over Valuev, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Maafala throwing strikes but missing. Maafala landing with the ground and pound. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Maafala is looking to work some ground and pound but Valuev has wrist control. Maafala throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Viko Maafala dominated that round. The cut man is working on Viko Maafala's cut. That's time! Valuev's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Maafala is trying hard to land a takedown here. Valuev sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Maafala shoots in for a takedown but Valuev shows good takedown defense. Maafala moves away from the strike by Valuev. Valuev misses with a looping right. Maafala shoots for a double leg takedown but Valuev sprawls well. He's pushed Maafala's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Abraham Valuev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Viko Maafala. Valuev throws a poor cross that misses
and Maafala counters with a shoot takedown. Valuev fights it but they end up in guard. Maafala works a leg free and moves into half guard. Maafala stops Valuev from getting back to his feet.
Maafala is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Valuev! Maafala lands a nice shot to the head. Maafala scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Valuev wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Maafala.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Maafala with shots to the head and body - Valuev looks very uncomfortable down there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maafala with good strikes from the mount here! Valuev blocking the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. BOOM! Maafala connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Valuev in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Maafala raining down hammerfists from mount. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Maafala landing punches.
Valuev is rocked! Maafala lands a big shot to the head and Valuev winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
