Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Sakamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Muay Thai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Sakamoto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Muay Thai! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sakamoto moves out of range of the leg kick from Thai. Sakamoto avoids a kick to the body.
Thai looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Sakamoto blocks the body kick.
Thai tries a head kick but it misses.
Thai tries to clinch but fails miserably letting Sakamoto counter with a right hand. Thai takes a body punch but keeps moving. Sakamoto digs a good hook to Thai's body.
Thai tries to clinch but Sakamoto is having none of it. Thai takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Sakamoto uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Thai.
Thai lands a head kick!
Sakamoto finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Sakamoto lands a slapping body shot.
A telegraphed right hand from Sakamoto misses the target. Sakamoto lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Thai misses with a shot to the body and Sakamoto cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Muay Thai has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sakamoto throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Thai stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Muay Thai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Thai looks gassed! The fighters circle momentarily. Sakamoto darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Sakamoto misses with a few strikes there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sakamoto stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Sakamoto misses with a few strikes there.
Thai fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Sakamoto is out of range. Thai darts in trying to clinch and Sakamoto counters with a stiff right hand. Sakamoto throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Thai stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Sakamoto rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Thai moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Sakamoto scores with a sloppy right hand. Thai should have avoided that one. Sakamoto connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Sakamoto throws a right and a left that Thai avoids nicely. Sakamoto feints a jab promting Thai to slip. Sakamoto then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Thai slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A jab lands there for Sakamoto. Some bone on bone action there as Thai checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Sakamoto cracks a nice hook into Thai's ribs. Sakamoto lands a jab to the nose. Sakamoto with a body punch. A glancing blow. Sakamoto misses with a jab, cross combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thai on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
That has opened up Muay Thai's cut even more. Thai takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Sakamoto bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Thai's head. Sakamoto lands a two punch combo.
Sakamoto will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sakamoto throws a leg kick but Thai sees it coming and checks it nicely. A big left from Thai misses. Sakamoto throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Thai. Sakamoto lands a right hook to the body.
Thai gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Sakamoto. Sakamoto throws a nice outside leg kick. Sakamoto throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Jab, jab by Sakamoto - just one landing. An inside leg kick from Sakamoto misses. An inside leg kick from Sakamoto misses. Sakamoto scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
The cut above Muay Thai's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Sakamoto lands with a nice combination. Thai backs away looking to recover.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thai takes a shot right to the bread basket. Sakamoto does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Sakamoto stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Muay Thai's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. A left and a right from Sakamoto both land. Nice combination. Sakamoto takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Muay Thai's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Paul Sakamoto!
