Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Zo Dupont (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dwight Lilke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Zo Dupont!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dwight Lilke!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lilke shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lilke showed some decent athleticism there.
Dupont gets back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lilke trying to control the position from guard on top but Dupont is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lilke is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Lilke stopping the sweep attempt from Dupont.
Dupont is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lilke is controlling him.
Lilke passes Dupont's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Lilke stays in close to Dupont's body and controls the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lilke wants to control from the top but Dupont keeps moving.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dwight Lilke hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Lilke wants to clinch up but Dupont keeps it at a distance.

Lilke shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Dupont manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Dupont wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Lilke is now in half guard.
Lilke looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Dupont wants to get back to full guard.
Lilke uses his free foot to push down on Dupont's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Dupont.

Lilke stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Lilke takes one to the chin there.
Dupont looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Dupont closes the distance but Lilke moves to the side

and Lilke counters by moving into the clinch.
Dupont is trying to break the clinch but Lilke has him pressed against the cage.

Lilke keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Dupont's efforts to push away.

Lilke breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Lilke counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dwight Lilke dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Lilke throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dupont tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lilke is in Dupont's guard.
Dupont controls Lilke momentarily but Lilke frees himself.
Lilke distracts Dupont with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Lilke stays in close to Dupont's body and controls the position.

Dupont not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Zo Dupont just wasn't active enough.

and Lilke counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Dupont's guard now.
Lilke won't allow Dupont to get back to his feet.

Lilke drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lilke jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Lilke sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dupont's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Lilke shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Lilke stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dupont swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dupont is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lilke is controlling him.

Lilke changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dupont fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Lilke shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dupont pinned against the cage. Dupont gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Lilke slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Lilke gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
Lilke connects with a big shot to the side of Dupont's head.
Lilke controlling the position well here. Dupont rolled but Lilke kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Dupont manages to reverse the position and now he's in Lilke's guard. Nice work there by Dupont.
Dupont will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Lilke has control of Dupont's left arm, preventing Dupont from doing any damage.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Dupont throws a front kick aimed at Lilke's knee but Lilke avoids it well.

Dwight Lilke comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lilke has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
