Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hyashi Yedo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiro Nagano!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Shimada and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Nagano. Beautiful body shot.
Nagano looks to score with a jab to the body but Yedo is just out of range.
Nagano is looking to chop away at Yedo's legs.
A solid body kick from Nagano.
Nagano throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Yedo sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Nagano lands with a cross.
Nagano scores with a nice body kick.
Yedo moves out of range as Nagano throws a body kick.
Nagano throws a leg kick which misses Yedo's front leg but catches the back leg as Yedo tries to avoid it.
Yedo avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Nagano looks for the body kick but Yedo saw that one coming.

and Nagano counters with a nice low kick that buckles Yedo's knee momentarily.
Hiro Nagano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yedo is breathing heavily.

Nagano takes a swing at Yedo's ribcage but misses.
A chopping leg kick lands by Nagano.
Nagano is looking to slow Yedo down with leg kicks.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Nagano, right into the meat.
Nagano lands a head kick. Yedo smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nagano scores with a sloppy right hand. Yedo should have avoided that one.
Nagano tries a head kick but it misses.
Yedo takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nagano throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Nagano buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Yedo throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nagano was covering up waiting for the punch and Yedo finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Nagano is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nagano controls Yedo momentarily but Yedo frees himself.
Nagano manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Yedo manages to get himself to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Yedo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nagano is aware though and is defending well.

Yedo looking for a guillotine here but Nagano defends easily.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nagano trying to control the position from guard on top but Yedo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nagano trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hiro Nagano dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Nagano throws a chopping leg kick but Yedo manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Yedo drives through with a takedown into Nagano's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Yedo trying to control the position from guard on top but Nagano is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Yedo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Yedo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Nagano is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Nagano has escaped and now he's on top!

Nagano is sitting in close to Yedo's body. Yedo has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Nagano is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Nagano is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Yedo.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Hyashi Yedo!
