Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Archie Bell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eric Ford!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bell tests Ford's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ford shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bell eats them both and turns towards Ford to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Bell dips to his left and cracks Ford with an uppercut!
Ford throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bell counters with a left and a right that stings Ford.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ford fails with the takedown
and Bell connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ford swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bell counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bell misses with a few strikes there.

Ford closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bell did well to prevent Ford getting side control.

Ford is working for a submission of some sort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bell is pressing down on Ford's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Ford has gone for a leg lock! Bell slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ford's guard.

Ford is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Bell would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bell's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Bell pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ford is keeping the position for now.
Bell controls from within his opponent's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Bell gets to his feet. Ford looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Bell lands a lovely overhand right.
Bell catches Ford with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Bell misses with a looping right.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ford with a lazy takedown attempt
and Bell connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ford swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ford swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bell counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ford doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bell counters with a three punch combo that has Ford backing up. Ford nods at Bell to acknowledge the strikes.
Archie Bell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eric Ford.
Bell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ford has his takedown stuffed
letting Bell counter with a right hand.
Ford looks gassed!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ford punishes Bell's body with a nice straight punch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ford throws a combination that misses
and Bell cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bell cracks a nice hook into Ford's ribs.
Bell works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Archie Bell dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Bell scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ford in his tracks.


Ford is rocked!
Bell is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Ford takes a swing at Bell's ribcage but misses.
Ford throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Bell counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ford thinking.
Bell punishes Ford's body with a nice straight punch.
Ford walks into a jab.
Ford falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bell counters with a crisp right that sends Ford to the canvas! Bell follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
