The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matyushenko fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dante avoids it really well and circles away.
Dante fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Matyushenko dives in and grabs Dante's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dante pushes down on Matyushenko's head and hops out.
No luck for Matyushenko with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vladimir Matyushenko. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Matyushenko misses with a takedown attempt
and Dante counters with a single leg into guard. Matyushenko didn't expect that.
Matyushenko is trying to keep Dante in close.
Matyushenko is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dante is aware though and is defending well.
Matyushenko is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Dante rolls with it to try and escape but Matyushenko cranks on the arm and Dante is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
