Marins's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Freak Kitchen - Speak when spoken to. Joaquin Marins has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joaquin Marins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Toni Tornado! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tornado misses with a takedown and Marins counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Tornado tries to land a sweep but no joy. Tornado is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Marins stays in close to Tornado's body and controls the position. Tornado really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Joaquin Marins just wasn't active enough. Tornado tries for a takedown but Marins circles away easily and Marins counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Marins.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tornado is trying to hold Marins in close to prevent damage but Marins has managed to pass into half guard.
Well, if Marins is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Tornado is looking to escape. Marins takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Marins is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marins looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Joaquin Marins just wasn't active enough. Tornado with a poor takedown and Marins counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Joaquin Marins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Toni Tornado. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Marins is controlling the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marins is looking to advance position but Tornado won't allow it. Marins seems to be looking for submissions.
Tornado trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Marins content just to control the position here. Tornado working to try and regain half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marins controlling his opponent. Tornado has given up his back here. Will Marins look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Marins is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tornado is in bad spot here.

Joaquin Marins dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Marins shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tornado napping and manages to drive through into side control! Marins controlling the position from side mount. Marins thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Tornado trying to remain calm as Marins controls from the top position. Tornado tries to buck Marins off but Marins is having none of it. Marins landing a few strikes. Tornado is being controlled here. Marins looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tornado is trying to control Marins's posture but Marins avoids it. Marins remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Marins seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Tornado for as long as he can get away with. Marins has hold of Tornado's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Tornado seems comfortable defending it but Marins has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Tornado is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Tornado is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Marins couldn't care less - he's delighted!
