Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gray Pleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Tran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gray Pleman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Peter Tran! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tran gets a double leg takedown into Pleman's guard. Tran must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Pleman is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tran defends well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tran avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Pleman is looking for a triangle but Tran pushes his legs off easily.
Pleman throws his legs up looking for a submission but Tran uses it to pass to side control.
Pleman tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Tran easily slips into full mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pleman is looking to get to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pleman is working hard here to advance position. Tran landing strikes from the mount and Pleman is in trouble! Pleman keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Pleman sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Pleman actively working from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pleman looking for submissions off his back. Pleman looking for subs from the bottom but Tran mounts him! Tran really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pleman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Pleman sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Pleman wants to control but Tran is keeping busy.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pleman gets full guard. Pleman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tran doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tran manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Pleman is trying to keep Tran in close.
Tran got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pleman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tran has managed to get both his arms back between Pleman's legs - danger averted. Pleman working for submissions but it's allowed Tran to get to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Pleman tries to lock up and control but Tran gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Pleman gets back to half guard. Tran takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Pleman looking for submissions off his back. Pleman has hold of Tran's hands but Tran slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Peter Tran will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Tran dives in and scores a takedown into Pleman's guard. Pleman is looking for a triangle but Tran pushes his legs off easily.

Peter Tran has got the better of the ground game so far. Tran slips a nice elbow through Pleman's hands, connecting with Pleman's forehead. That's two minutes gone in the round. Tran lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Pleman is looking to control Tran's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pleman avoid being mounted? Pleman works his way to full guard. Good work. Pleman is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tran defends well. Pleman has an active guard here but Tran has managed to pass into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tran connects with a nice short shot to Pleman's temple. Pleman is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Tran pulls his head out easily. Nice strikes from Tran there. Pleman actively working from the bottom here. Pleman moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pleman working for a triangle but Tran defends it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Tran showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Tran misses with a takedown and Pleman counters with a one-two to the body. Tran closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Pleman quickly recovers to half guard. Pleman looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Pleman trying to control here.
Pleman looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Tran pushes past his half guard into mount! Tran is landing with some decent strikes but Pleman is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Pleman can't escape the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tran raining down hammerfists from mount. Pleman is trying desperately to improve position. Pleman regains half guard. Tran working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The fighters are battling for position here. Pleman manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Pleman is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
