The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kombat moves away from the strike by Piper.
Piper misses with a body shot.
Kombat tries to score a power double leg takedown but Piper sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kombat somewhat.
Piper jabs at Kombat's body.
Piper on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Kombat shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Piper as he avoids it easily.
Kombat looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kombat shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Piper defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Juan Kombat. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kombat is breathing heavily.
Piper lands a left and a right that send Kombat crashing to the mat, dazed. Piper thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Piper tries to clinch up but Kombat circles away and keeps his distance.
Piper lands with a good body shot.
Piper lands a nice looking body shot.
Piper comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kombat looks up at the clock. Bad move! Piper lands a right hand from hell, dropping Kombat. Piper pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
