The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hennessey looks to land a combination but Bolden avoids it well.
Hennessey throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Bolden circles away from the clinch attempt
and Bolden counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Bolden uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hennessey has time to react.

Bolden scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Bolden works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Hennessey tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The strikes coming from Bolden are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Bolden is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hennessey knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Bolden has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bolden creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Hennessey sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Bolden scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hennessey to see if he's OK.

Bolden has hold of Hennessey's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hennessey manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hennessey is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bolden is landing with some decent strikes but Hennessey is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Hennessey seems to have recovered his senses.
Bolden lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bolden lands with a big left! Hennessey is wobbled badly! Bolden comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Hennessey to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
