Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maxwell Kegele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Jones Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jones Jr's choice of entrance music: I Am A Real American. Maxwell Kegele has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Maxwell Kegele! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Jones Jr! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones Jr scores with the left hand. Kegele knows he should have avoided that one. Kegele swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jones Jr darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Jones Jr throws a big shot that misses. Kegele fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jones Jr ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kegele moves away. Kegele drives through and clinches with Jones Jr against the cage.
Kegele fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Jones Jr wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Kegele breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jones Jr on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Kegele moves out of range of the strikes. Jones Jr swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jones Jr throws a jab when Kegele was well out of range. Kegele misses with a takedown attempt - Jones Jr sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maxwell Kegele. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kegele keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kegele goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Jones Jr is rocked!
It looks like James Jones Jr has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kegele is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Jones Jr is still on wobbly legs! Can Kegele finish him? Kegele throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Jones Jr pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Kegele wants to clinch. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Kegele shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones Jr sprawls well. He's pushed Kegele's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. A jab lands there for Jones Jr. Jones Jr seems to have recovered his senses. Jones Jr throws a big shot that misses. Jones Jr swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Left hook, right uppercut from Kegele. Jones Jr throws a hook but Kegele blocks it. A big right from Jones Jr misses. Kegele moves in looking to clinch but Jones Jr pushes him off. Kegele takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Kegele takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Jones Jr looks gassed! Horrible takedown by Kegele or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones Jr which made him look bad. Kegele lands a nice hook to Jones Jr's body. Jones Jr takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Kegele tries to clinch up. James Jones Jr is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kegele throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Jones Jr stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Kegele follows into mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kegele punching from mount but Jones Jr doing a good job of avoiding damage. Kegele throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Kegele looking to ground and pound but Jones Jr is blocking nicely. Kegele has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jones Jr is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Kegele scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Jones Jr?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kegele throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Jones Jr because Kegele loaded up on that one. Kegele avoids the attempt from Jones Jr to control. Jones Jr tries to reverse the position but Kegele maintains control. Jones Jr squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Kegele with the ground and pound from mount. Jones Jr is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Kegele trying to control but he's not successful this time. BOOM! Kegele connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Kegele with good strikes from the mount here! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kegele raining down shots from the mount! Kegele will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kegele postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Jones Jr in real trouble here! The ref calls for Jones Jr to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Maxwell Kegele!
