Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Clinical Cpw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boris Becker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cpw comes to the cage accompanied by Purple Rain. Becker has chosen Justus Köhncke - Timecode as his entrance music. Clinical Cpw could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Boris Becker's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Clinical Cpw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Boris Becker!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cpw throws a poor cross that misses

and Becker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cpw's guard.
Becker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Becker missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Becker working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Becker throws a strike but Cpw rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Becker looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Becker pulls Cpw in close to his closed guard and prevents Cpw from doing any damage or advancing position.
Becker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Cpw has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Becker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cpw gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Becker is trying to control the position but Cpw postures up.
Cpw tries to stand but Becker is controlling from the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A right-left combo lands from Cpw.


It looks like Boris Becker has been cut.
Cpw lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Becker circles away quickly and effectively.
Becker fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Cpw stuffs the takedown attempt from Becker. Becker gets slowly back to his feet.

and Cpw cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Clinical Cpw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boris Becker.

enabling Cpw to counter with a crisp jab.

Becker is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Cpw is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Cpw has escaped and now he's on top!

Cpw won't allow Becker to sweep him here.

Becker had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cpw defends it easily.

Becker is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Becker walks into a stiff left hand from Cpw.
Becker tries for a takedown but Cpw circles away easily
and Cpw connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Becker drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Becker has gone for a leg lock! Cpw slips out almost immediately though and dives into Becker's guard.

Becker pulls Cpw in close to prevent any damage.

Cpw has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Becker is proving hard to escape from.
Becker is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Becker has control of Cpw's left arm, preventing Cpw from doing any damage.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Becker is on top in guard.
Cpw is looking to stand up but Becker isn't so interested in that idea.
Cpw on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cpw tries to get out of the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Cpw utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Becker drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Cpw dives on top into guard.
Becker not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Becker looking for a guillotine here but Cpw defends easily.
Becker tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Becker is looking for a triangle but Cpw pushes his legs off easily.

Cpw wanted to stand there but Becker had control of the position.

Becker manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Becker looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Becker jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Cpw is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Cpw and Becker has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Cpw parries the strikes from Becker easily there. Becker is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Cpw to escape.

Becker tries for a kimura but Cpw is defending well.

Becker is trying to get an arm triangle but Cpw is defending well.
Becker is working Cpw over with some ground and pound from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Boris Becker will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!


Becker closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cpw circles away.
Cpw scores with a hook.
Cpw fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

and Cpw counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Becker wants to clinch but Cpw slips to the side
and Cpw counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Becker feints and as Cpw raises his hands in defense, Becker changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Becker throws a strike but Cpw rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Becker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Becker wants to sweep here but Cpw controlling him for the moment.
Becker is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Becker pulls Cpw in close to his closed guard and prevents Cpw from doing any damage or advancing position.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Becker lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cpw!
Cpw wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Becker thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Becker is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Cpw can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Becker throws some wild stikes that Cpw manages to avoid easily.

Becker swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Cpw is now in Becker's guard. A big mistake from Becker there, giving up the dominant position!
Cpw would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Becker looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Boris Becker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Becker has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
