Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Overbury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wayde Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Overbury might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rule Britannia. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overbury lands a nice hook to Sullivan's body. Sullivan takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Sullivan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Overbury throws out a loose jab but Sullivan uses good head movement to avoid it.
Overbury throws a lazy uppercut
and Sullivan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sullivan displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Overbury throws out the jab.
Sullivan slips under a jab from Overbury.
Sullivan walks into a left hand.
Sullivan misses with an uppercut
enabling Overbury to counter with a crisp jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sullivan moves away from the strike by Overbury.
Overbury scores with a crisp jab that stopped Sullivan in his tracks.
Sullivan ducks right into an uppercut from Overbury.
Sullivan swings for the body but Overbury moves out of range.
Sullivan throws a head kick that misses
and Overbury cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sullivan has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Overbury finds it's way round the side to connect with Sullivan's head.
Sullivan throws a wild hook but Overbury just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Sullivan gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Overbury raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thomas Overbury!
