Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Conway! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank Richlin! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Richlin connects with a body shot that sends Conway's belly button to the back. Richlin lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Richlin ducks under a wild hook from Conway. Richlin closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Conway did well to prevent Richlin getting side control. Richlin seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Richlin throwing shots but Conway is blocking nicely. Richlin sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Conway defending well though. Conway wants to control but Richlin is keeping busy and won't allow it. Conway blocking the ground and pound attempt from Richlin.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Richlin in particular looking to stall. Let's hope that Richlin has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Frank Richlin hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Conway throws a left and a right that both miss
and Richlin counters with a nice double leg into guard. Conway is looking for a triangle here but Richlin uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Richlin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Conway is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Richlin taking a breather here. Conway is breathing heavily. Richlin scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Conway to see if he's OK. Conway can't do much from the bottom here. Richlin takes a little break here. Conway wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Richlin lands some shots froms side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Richlin slows the pace down. Check out the look on Richlin's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
You can see the frustration on Conway's face as Richlin controls the position. Richlin looks up at the clock and then as Conway takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Richlin smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Richlin has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Conway's face.
It looks like Jimmy Conway has been cut. Richlin in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Richlin controlling from mount. Richlin's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Richlin lands a big shot there that rocks Conway but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Jimmy Conway's cut is getting worse. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Richlin punishing his opponent with strikes.
Jimmy Conway's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Conway is bucking up trying to escape but Richlin cracks him with another couple of good strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Richlin dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jimmy Conway's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Richlin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jimmy Conway's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
